These children need a loving family who will welcome them unconditionally into a caring home. Foster families provide a temporary safe home for children removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect.
Livingston County Catholic Charities Foster Care Goals:
- To serve Livingston County children and families.
- Provide temporary care for child(ren).
- Reunite the child(ren) with biological family if possible.
- Find adoptive families for the child(ren) who cannot be reunited with their family.
Children range in age from infants to teenagers and come from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds. The highest priority need is for foster homes for sibling groups, older children, and developmentally disabled children.
Attend one of the Foster Parent Orientation programs provided each month to learn more about becoming a foster parent. Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month at our Child Welfare office: 2020 E. Grand River #101, Howell, MI 48843 from 5:00p – 7:00p.
